Type Endorsements
TRK offers type endorsements on all of our aircraft depending on availability.
The Bell 206 is an entry level helicopter in the commercial world. It is the most popular turbine helicopter ever built. The Jet Ranger is an excellent training machine and a great endorsement to have on your resume when seeking your first job.
Endorsement training will be tailored to the individual’s needs, but generally between 3 and 5 hours of training is required to complete the endorsement. A complete pilot transition ground school is also included in the endorsement package.
Bell 206 Endorsement Training Cost:
$950 per hour + fuel cost

The AS350 is Eurocopter’s most popular helicopter in Canada. Over 40 helicopter operators in Western Canada fly the AS350 series aircraft. TRK operates AS350 BA and B2 helicopters, as they are considered the most diverse workhorses in the intermediate turbine category.

TRK Helicopters is based at Langley Airport, one of the closest airports to the mountains in the Lower Mainland. This translates in to spending more time flying in the mountains and less time flying to them. TRK Helicopters mountain helicopter curriculum is based on real world experience and situations. With such a
diverse range of mountains nearby students will gain experience flying from 2500 to 8500 foot peaks on a regular basis. With TRK's Mountain Course we ensure you gain the skills necessary to safely operate in all kinds of mountain conditions.
Emergency procedures, precision handling, confined areas, mountain illusions, slinging operations, effects of winds on the helicopter, snow operations, contour flying, reconnaissance, approach and departure techniques in various mountainous landing sites.
Ground School Curriculum and Review and 25 hours flight time.
Density altitude and helicopter performance, reconnaissance, approach and departure techniques, hazards and illusions, physiological and psychological factors.
Emergency procedures, confined area operations, reconnaissance, approach and departure techniques for side hill pads, mountain tops, and ridges.

Water bucketing for forest fires using the Bambi Bucket is also included, adding to your arsenal of expertise and experience.

As individual skill is diverse, the amount of personal training needed to become proficient within this field remains flexible.
