Forestry/Fire Suppression

TRK Helicopters has worked together with forest services all across Canada. Our helicopters are equipped with all the necessary equipment for fire suppression, including water buckets, foam, external baskets for crew equipment, and satellite tracking systems.

Fisheries

BC Fisheries and Mount Currie Band utilize TRK Helicopters for their fish surveys in the upper Lilloet Valley.

Hydro Support

TRK Helicopters can provide power line support flights for routine patrols, surveying, servicing, or emergencies.

Surveying

TRK Helicopters has teamed up with Geotech Airborne and Geoscience BC on several geophysical surveys. We have the helicopters with the necessary sling load capacity and endurance to safely and efficiently fly the systems.

Mining Support/Drill Moves

Anglo American called on TRK for camp and crew support on a primary mineral exploration project in the Northwest Territories. The AS350 BA provided the perfect versatility for crew and cargo transportation and support.

TRK provides the equipment and skills necessary for drill moves, claim staking, camp support, crew moves, fuel slinging, boulder sampling etc.

Our pilots are experienced in the exploration industry and can make your job run smoothly and safely.

Oil and Gas Support

We provide support flights to the oil and gas industry from pipeline patrol to gas field maintenance. Need to get your operators into a remote area? We can do it. Our pilots have a good working knowledge of oil and gas operations which will prove helpful to get the job done efficiently.

Telecom

TRK’s diverse fleet of aircraft has allowed cellular companies such has Metrobridge Networks, Rogers Wireless, Harris Cellular, and MTI/Mott, to have a cost effective solution to maintaining their cellular systems. For simple personnel moves to remote sites, the cost effective Bell 206 Jet Ranger is an unparalleled machine. Up to four passengers in a very fast aircraft have allowed emergency maintenance costs to be minimized.

For larger equipment and personnel moves, the Eurocopters AS350 is the new solution. Because of the large amount of cargo space, there is typically no need for a sling load. Diagnostic equipment can be transported on the same flight as the technicians as there are no external loads, resulting in a very efficient aerial operation.

Heliskiing

TRK Helicopters’ pilots can provide the safest and most efficient heliski experience available. Trained in mountain flying and the different weather associated with it, you will feel good knowing they can get you to the best ski runs.

Photography and Filming

Traditionally, the motion picture industry has utilized the Eurocopter AS350 family for the majority of their aerial work. In addition to our AS350 aircraft, our Bell 206 is giving smaller production companies an affordable opportunity to go airborne to get that ultimate shot.

Our AS350’s can be equipped with both Tyler front and mid mount camera systems.
